Why Global Citizens Should Care
We've got just 10 years left to achieve the UN's Global Goals and end extreme poverty by 2030. Now, we're launching our biggest campaign yet — Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream — to get the world back on track to deliver these goals, and create a world that's fair and just for everyone. Join the movement by tuning in to Global Citizen Prize to celebrate incredible activists with us, and taking action here to help end extreme poverty by 2030.

On Dec. 13, we’ll be taking over London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall for the inaugural Global Citizen Prize award ceremony.

We’ll have incredible performances from Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Raphael Saadiq, Sting, Stomzy, and special guests Chris Martin, H.E.R., and Jorja Smith.

The show will also celebrate the Global Citizen Prize award winners in five categories: the World Leader Prize will go to Amina Mohammed; the Business Leader Prize will go to Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya; the Artist of the Year will be presented to Sting; and Global Citizen of the Year will go to Richard Curtis. You can read more about each of these winners here

The Cisco Youth Leadership Award winner, who will receive $250,000 in funding to support the work of the organization through which they’ve having impact, will be announced for the first time on the night of the show. You can read more about the five incredible young finalists for the award here

As well as musical performances, the show will also feature powerful, inspirational stories of people taking action to positively impact their communities, and calls-to-action for Global Citizens everywhere to get involved in the mission to end extreme poverty by 2030.

So, without further ado, here’s how you can tune in to watch the show, and join the celebration of those dedicated activists who have committed themselves to driving forward the mission to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and deliver a world that’s fair and just for all.

The Global Citizen Prize is the first major event of our 2020 campaign, Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream. In partnership with Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, we’re launching our biggest campaign yet.

In the year-long campaign, which comes with just 10 years left to achieve the UN’s Global Goals, we’ll be calling on governments, philanthropists, and the private sector to step forward, take responsibility for the Global Goals, and provide the $350 billion needed annually for people and the planet to achieve the Global Goals in the world’s poorest countries.

The campaign will culminate on Sept. 26 2020, with a historic 10-hour global media event showcasing simultaneous festivals from New York City and Lagos, Nigeria — as well as satellite events in Seoul and to-be-announced cities in Latin America and Europe.

We can’t wait for you to join us!
